Thanks for making this personal and honest, this is exactly how we need to apply God's message. I have this tendency to be generic rather than specific. Thanks...

Oh my! this is tough! BUT look how God always loved me even when I was walking in sin. even when I was hurting people, He welcomed me to Him with open arms long before I turned to Him.
How can I do any less?

In our life and in the lives of two close families are 3 situations where we are dealing with difficult situations where people have chosen to treat us very badly. These are Christians but one a baby Christian. These people are decived, blind to the Truth. They do not even seem to realize how cruel they are being or the consequences of what they are doing.
We have come or are coming to a place where we forgive the people involved, we know no reasonable conversation is possible at this time, but we want to show love.
We ask God to give us ways to show love in a way that those people can feel cared about. Then we do the thing He gives us to do.
For me, if I look at the big picture, the situation seems impossible. If I look at what can I do today and ask the Lord to give me strength to do that then that is simpler.
I trust God to deal with them in His time.
Recently, in our case, we have started to pray more for the Holy Spirit to intervene. We go to the Lord on their behalf.
I should add, yes there is hurt involved. These situations give us much pain. So we take that pain to Jesus and He comforts us and restores us. Praise Him!
